Throughout the week we have a variety of free events, an exhibition and a special medieval corner for children.  See below and come to as many as you like!

Saturday 12th September: Ride and Stride (10am) & Cornerstone Café

 Our Café will be open as a one-off Saturday bonus. FREE drink and cake for Ride and Stride participants!

Monday 13th September, 1.30pm - 2.30pm: Medieval Churches Talk

Step into the fascinating world of medieval churches and uncover their stories and secrets with Historian and Archaeologist Matthew Champion.

Tuesday 14th September, 12.30pm - 1.30pm: Lunchtime Organ Recital

A rare opportunity to hear our organ being played by Professor David Rowland, acclaimed organist and Director of Music at Christ's College, Cambridge.

Wednesday 16th - Friday 18th September: Make a Church Kneeler

Try your hand at cross stitch and discover the traditional craft of church kneelers.

For Children – Medieval Discovery Corner

Discover what life was like in medieval times when the church was built!

Curious about climate change and the impact on our everyday lives? Join us for a community screening of Climate, Nature, Our Future, presented by naturalist and broadcaster Chris Packham, exploring the challenges we face and the solutions available to us.  Following the film will be an informal, facilitated discussion where everyone is welcome to share their thoughts and perspectives in a respectful environment.

A great afternoon of giant activities: jenga, snakes and ladders, draughts, pick up sticks and more!  Smaller games and activities too.  Weather permitting, there will be lots of games to try out in the churchyard and more inside too. 

Finishing off with a summer BBQ, all are very welcome!

While the games are 100% FREE, pre-booking for the BBQ helps us cater for everyone. You are also welcome to bring your own picnic dinner!

Summer Holidays: Tuesday 11th August, 11.30am - 2.30pm

Children, could you be a history detective?  Come and see what you can find in our Dig; can you identify what objects have been hiding?  Step into the role of an archaeologist as you uncover and record hidden treasures in our hands-on sandpit excavation activity. Inspired by real archaeological finds, this is a fun and educational experience that brings history to life. 

A relaxed morning for families while our Cornerstone Cafe is available for drinks and snacks. 

Suitable for primary school age children.
