Hello & Welcome
Prior to Christmas in December 2023, St Mary's was awarded £1.57m by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, towards The Way Forward project. This grant was made possible thanks to National Lottery players.
With over ten years in the making, the project is for a major internal restoration of our Grade 1 listed "heritage at risk" building, together with an exciting activity programme for the whole community. The Way Forward project will preserve and restore St Mary’s and leave a legacy for the next hundred years and beyond.
The project is due to begin in the autumn of 2024. To commence, we need to raise £120k towards the cost of the project. This will enable us to be granted the important "Permission to Start" by The National Lottery Heritage Fund's 14th June 2024 deadline.
