These activities and events start from or take place in St Mary’s church. As well as these there will be art and heritage displays and exhibitions created by / with local organisations, schools and youth groups.

Village Heritage Walk
A walking trail around the village and surrounding area exploring the history of specific buildings and other links further afield, including: sites of Roman settlements and a Roman Malt House, the link of the old Roman road to Colchester, Norman Motte and the building of Prior’s Hall, the Friends Meeting House and the former church at Bran End in addition to the building of St Mary’s.

Christmas Community Day
Past activities included making of traditional decorations, cards for families and for members of the community who would not otherwise receive cards, have-a-go at historic games and a visit from St Nicholas.
